Since 1968, the Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region has worked to improve the quality of life in the region by promoting and facilitating effective philanthropy. Our success is directly related to our generous donors who invest through the Community Foundation in our area’s most effective nonprofit organizations.
Based on the Nourishing Tomorrow’s Leaders program at The Gifford Foundation, the Catalysts for Change Leadership Program is an 8-week board development series that will focus on increasing inclusiveness and diversity on nonprofit boards and linking leaders to supporting nonprofits. After completing the program, participants will be connected to local nonprofits in the area looking for new board members and will join a network of leaders looking to change the state of diversity on nonprofit boards.
The Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Action (IDEA) Resource Hub is a collection of resources to help your organization increase diversity, build an inclusive culture, and advance equity in the community. This hub is broken into three main sections: building a foundation on equity issues, having crucial conversations, and taking action at your nonprofit. The resources include articles, books, stories, websites, and webinars/videos to help you educate yourself and others on being more inclusive within your organization.
